We have some incredibly exciting news to share with you! Thanks to your amazing support, @weldmarhospicecare`s first ever @wildinart trail, @stampedebythesea has raised an astounding ยฃ182,500!
From late March to May, our nearly sixty vibrant elephant sculptures brought so much joy to communities and visitors across Bridport, West Bay, and Lyme Regis. It was truly heartwarming to see so many of you out exploring the trail, sharing your photos, and engaging with these wonderful works of art.
The trail concluded with our Charity Auction last Thursday evening, and there were some very special moments โ like Sanctuary, the stunning elephant by Nicola Dennis, raising an incredible ยฃ25,000! And we were thrilled to have long-time supporter Martin Clunes lend a hand with the auctioning too.
Every single donation, every merchandise purchase, every raffle ticket, and every bid has contributed to this fantastic total. This money is absolutely crucial and will allow us to continue providing the compassionate care and support that patients and their families in Dorset rely on every day.
Thank you for being such an integral part of this journey with us. Your enthusiasm, donations, and support made Stampede by the Sea a truly unforgettable event. We couldn`t have done it without you!

The local business community have played a hugely important role in Stampede by the Sea, as sponsors, partners, and supporters. This morning at the Corn Exchange in Dorchester, we were delighted to hold a Business Breakfast to spread the word even further. The special guest speaker was Juliet Mance, from our Learning Programme Partner, @wessex.internet, who gave an excellent and engaging presentation about being involved in our trail.
