The Stampede by the Sea Artist Programme is now open!
It’s time to get creative! Entries are now open for artists to submit their designs which will bring Stampede by the Sea to life for eight weeks in spring 2025, across Bridport, West Bay and Lyme Regis.
We have put together a comprehensive Artist Pack, which has all the information you need about the programme, where you can ‘meet your muse’ and find out more about the sculptures, see the key dates to be aware of, read top tips about what to consider when designing your elephant, and all the terms and conditions for the project.
Once you’ve read through the artist pack, you can download the templates and get designing!
Anissa Lee, who designed and painted our Hero sculpture ‘Waves of Emotion’, and is coordinating the Stampede by the Sea Artist Programme, says, “We are extremely excited to be launching the open call for art submissions for Stampede by the Sea. We are fortunate to have a diverse creative community in Dorset and I am really looking forward to seeing the designs from local artists and those further afield. This will be a great opportunity for artists to have their work showcased to a larger audience and for the community and visitors in the Bridport, West Bay and Lyme Regis areas to experience art up close and out of a gallery setting.”
Artists can submit up to two designs. Entries are open until midnight on Sunday 15th September.
