Which elephant will you bid for?
After the excitement of our trail across Bridport, West Bay and Lyme Regis, you have the opportunity to bid for a unique piece of art, whilst at the same time ensuring that Weldmar can continue to provide specialist end of life care for adults with a life limiting illness, and support for their loved ones.
Each sculpture has been exquisitely designed and painted by very talented artists, many of them based in Dorset. Can you give your favourite elephant a forever home?
The lots include:
- All of our large elephant sculptures (excluding the Memory Elephant, as this will be kept at Weldmar Hospicecare’s Inpatient Unit in Dorchester)
- Three small elephants from our ‘Mini Herd’ that were designed by artists (those designed by schools will be returned to them to keep)
- Three small blank elephants that will be sold with an artist commission, allowing you to have a sculpture with your very own bespoke design

Our live auction event
We look forward to welcoming you to the Corn Exchange on Thursday 19th June, with doors opening at 5:30.
Enjoy a welcome drink, delicious canapes, and see the elephant sculptures all together for a final time.
Join Weldmar Hospicecare, Wild in Art, and special guests including Martin Clunes, who will be auctioning one of our terrific elephant sculptures.
Spaces are very limited. If you are interested in attending the auction in person to bid, please purchase your tickets below. There is also more information further down this page on how to join the online auction.

Make a difference for local families experiencing life limiting illness
During 2024, Weldmar provided care for almost 300 individuals in the Bridport, West Bay and Lyme Regis area alone, and almost 2,000 across Dorset.
Every penny of the funds raised at auction will help their nurses, doctors, carers, therapists, counsellors and others to provide that care in the future, free, for local families.
