Schools that have signed up to the Stampede by the Sea Learning Programme visited Weldmar Hospicecare’s headquarters in Dorchester this week to attend the first workshop – and to pick up their baby elephant sculptures!
More than twenty schools from across Dorset are taking part in the programme, and once their pupils have decorated the elephants they will form part of our trail in the spring.
The workshop featured presentations from Ben Reed, Head of Creative Development at Wild in Art, and Anissa Lee, who painted Waves of Emotion – our ‘Hero Sculpture’.
There was also an interactive workshop with Weldmar’s Patient and Family Support Services team featuring creative ways to support children experiencing grief and bereavement.
Join the herd!
