We have decorated our elephant in memory of Margaret, a proud Scot. The pattern is ‘Ross hunting’ which is her clan tartan. Whilst a patient at Weldmar Hospicecare’s Inpatient Unit, Stampede by the Sea was launched and several elephant sculptures were on display, and taken to her bedside. She was delighted, and insisted that she would like one for herself. After liaising with Weldmar’s Fundraising team, Margaret’s request was granted and two baby elephants were purchased by Margaret for the trail, and to be used for continued fundraising for the charity at Fancy’s Farm, Portland.
